The Challenge
Space launch ground operations have faced challenges for years with unpredictable deliveries of spacecraft and support components for launch site servicing and the associated cost and scheduling implications. This is exacerbated by the growing use of multi-manifest launches and increasing launch cadence exceeding the capacity of existing ground processing infrastructure in Florida and California.
Space Prep is developing a new way of doing business to address this problem. Our solution is built around flexibility to accommodate the uncertainty that will always challenge ground processing providers. Our approach minimizes impacts of hazardous operations on non-hazardous operations; provides affordable, dedicated space for small satellite processing tailored to small satellite needs that do not interfere with operations for large spacecraft; integrates comprehensive logistics and transportation support into our services, and features intra-facility routing and access that allows each payload to move independently. This architecture enables a flexible pricing structure that allows customers to only pay for what they need and limit or avoid situations where one mission impacts another.
